What is the Green Party Gala?
Launched in 2025 The Gala is an opportunity for greens to come together in an informal setting and celebrate all of the hard work that our councillors, executive committee and activists put in around the year! Basically, we emphasising the ‘Party’ in Green Party and everybody is invited!
It’s also a way for us to raise some much-needed funds to give us every chance of success in the 2027 Assembly & Council Elections – with a proportion of ticket sales going toward campaign costs and other opportunities to get involved in FUN-draising on the night including through Drag Bingo with one of Belfast’s most infamous Drag Entertainers – Tins Legs Tantrum.
What happens at the Green Gala?
Guests will arrive in style – the red carpet will be rolled out at the Clayton Hotel, Belfast’s First ‘Green Tourism’ & ‘Green Meetings’ Accredited Hotel – and you will be treated to a glass of bubbles and have an opportunity to get a professional photo taken with Green Party Leaders & Reps.
Guests will then be treated to a 4 course meal – with vegan and non-vegan options and all dietary requirements met – with entertainment throughout the night including Drag Bingo, before the dancefloor is rolled out and a DJ helps us dance to the we hours!
What is the dress code?
This is Green Glitz & Glam – so think Charity Shop Chic or however you are comfortable! Extra points for upcycling something you already have or for adding some spooky vibes for Halloween!
How much does it cost?
The early bird price is £600 per table of ten (£60pp) until end of July, which we appreciate is a lot of money, but where else would you get a 4 course meal, a drink and entertainment in Belfast these days for that price? Remember, all profits are going to helping us get more greens elected to council chambers across NI and back into the Assembly in 2027.
Why Should I attend?
Maybe you are a new member or supporter who wants to meet other greens, or maybe you are a long time member who hasn’t been able to be active recently, and has been looking for a way to lend the party your support? Or, maybe you just fancy a great and safe night out for a reasonable price? Either way, we’d love to see you there and if you feel like you might not know a lot of people – why not bring some friends or family with you? The Green Gala is open to the public and other green minded folk and by attending you are actually helping us get greens elected!
I’m in – where do I sign up?
Contact your local constituency group rep or Chair, who will arrange to collect you £60 and book the table for your group (Chairs, email Patricia at [email protected] to arrange payment).
If you aren't sure you're allocated to a constituency group, don't worry, email Stevie at [email protected] who will arrange for you to sit with another group!
Remember, the early bird price is only until end of July, after which a table is £650 (£65pp), so get in before then!
