Hope is Here! 

On Thursday 7th of May, electors will go to the polls in Scotland and Wales for the devolved parliaments and for over 5000 council seats across England including all of London. There are also 6 Mayoral elections, with 5 of those in London. 

Our sibling parties are hopeful to make solid gains. 

Come and join fellow Greens to watch the results roll in as. 

The space is open from 11am to 5pm and we will need to be out sharp.

As Greens surge in polling in the UK and here in Northern Ireland, we are preparing for both council and assembly elections in 2027. 

Now is the time to get involved. With the far-right on the rise, global instability, widening inequality and the looming climate crises - now is the time to make hope beat hate. 

Our conference will feature speeches from our leadership, council candidates and exciting panels on 3 themes; 

1) Lower Bills.  

2) Fairer taxation to rebuild public services.

3) Facing down the far-right.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided and this event is free for Green Party members.

With a byelection called for Dublin Central on 22nd May 2026, The Green Party Ireland have selected Councillor Janet Horner as their candidate.

Janet has been a Dublin City Councillor since September 2029. She was elected Cathaoirleach (chairperson) of the party in May 2025. She is the party spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence and has been a leading advocate for a better city centre, leading on pedestrianisation, more cycling and an expanded LUAS. 

Join us at Belfast City Hall back courtyard from 9am on Saturday 28th March to travel to Dublin to spend the day canvassing for Janet.
