South Belfast MLA Clare was first elected to the Assembly back in 2016 and is an active campaigner on anti-sectarian and equality issues.
Clare designates as ‘Feminist’ in the Assembly and has served on the Justice Committee. Clare has a particular interest in women's issues including addressing sexual and domestic abuse.
Malachai O’Hara is the Green Party Councillor for Castle, North Belfast. Malachai’s background is in community leadership and is a long standing LGBTQ activist. He has been on the board of a local suicide prevention charity since 2011.
Mal is North Belfast born and bred and is a passionate advocate for communities that suffered the most during the conflict and who continue to face challenges, despite relative peace.
Rachel Woods is the Green Party MLA for North Down. A trained researcher, she worked as a caseworker for Steven Agnew before being co-opted into the North Down seat in 2019.
Rachel was born in Holywood and is a past-pupil of Sullivan Upper School. Rachel still lives in the town that she also served as Green Party councillor for Holywood and Clandeboye.
Rachel is passionate about environmental issues as well as social justice. Rachel has worked extensively on welfare reform and tackling food poverty.
Anthony Flynn is the Green Party Councillor for Ormiston DEA. A political activist and equality campaigner, Anthony Flynn is working to bring political transparency and stable government to the fore of our politics in Northern Ireland.
Anthony has also recently secured Belfast City Council support for Lucys Law.
Brian Smyth is the Councillor for Lisnasharragh in East Belfast. Brian's background is in youth and community work. Brian was elected to Council in May 2019 and has prioritised addressing the climate emergency at Council level, including opposing the extractive industry in Belfast and beyond.
Aine Groogan is the Councillor for Botanic in South Belfast. Aine has worked a constituency caseworker for Clare Bailey MLA and previously worked for the Irish Embassy in Latvia and as a legal analyst in Belfast.
Aine has worked extensively on the regulation of the display of graphic imagery in Belfast City Council.
Simon Lee is the Green Party councillor for Castlereagh South. A teacher who is passionate about education and wants to contribute to the development of a new kind of politics in Northern Ireland that moves beyond the segregation that has held us back.
Barry McKee is the Green Party Councillor for Bangor West. He is a lifelong resident of Bangor, educated at Ballyholme Primary & St Columbanus’ College. Barry progressed to study Music at Queens University Belfast and graduated in 2005.
Barry works as a Social Care worker at Praxis Care with adults with learning disabilities. Barry is also a workplace organiser for GMB – Britain’s General Union.
