Clare Bailey MLA
South Belfast MLA Clare was first elected to the Assembly back in 2016 and is an active campaigner on anti-sectarian and equality issues.
Clare became Leader of the Green Party NI in Novemeber 2018 having served as Deputy Leader for a number of years.
Clare designates as ‘Feminist’ in the Assembly and has served on the Justice Committee. Clare has a particular interest in women's issues including addressing sexual and domestic abuse.
Since 2020 Clare has served on the Environment, Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee, working with a cross party group of MLAs to hold the DAERA Minister and his Department to account.
Clare lives in South Belfast with her family and has a constituency office in the University Road area of the city.
