Green Party MLA Rachel Woods MLA has sought assurances from the deputy First Minster that medical and scientific evidence must plot the course of the roadmap.
Rachel Woods MLA said: “The statement today from the deputy First Minister is welcome and shows that we are in a better place because of significant sacrifice on the part of our citizens.
"The roadmap document, however, raises many more questions than it gives answers to, and I hope that the Executive will commit to and deliver, effective, timely and detailed communication to the public on each and every step.
“We need assurances that the Executive has learned from past mistakes around how this crisis has unfolded.
“The Executive is beset by competing political priorities – medical and scientific evidence must be heard above vested interests and must be guided by the independent, expert Covid-19 taskforce.”
