Green Party NI Councillor for Bangor Central Stephen Dunlop has expressed his shock at the suspected murder of a man in his 50s in the Beatrice Road area of Bangor.
Cllr Dunlop said: "Beatrice Road is a very quiet part of Bangor. A well settled blend of families, older people and young people have made their home in the area. It will come as a shock to many people living there or with connections to Beatrice Road that a man lost his life in the early hours of Wednesday. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has passed away in such sad and tragic circumstances.
"The police investigation in ongoing at this time and I would ask people to support the investigation with any information that they have. Police can be contacted via the non-emergency 101 number or via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
