Green Party NI comment on Coll Report publication

"The people of Belfast should expect equal treatment from their Council.

"This report has shown that Belfast City Council failed in its duty to treat citizens as equals in the provision of services on 30 June 2020.

"It's particularly disappointing that the Council's failure came during a time when public health should have been the priority and when people were making sacrifices around the funerals and burials of family and friends.

"Different treatment for different grieving families must never be repeated. I hope that the families who were not treated on an equal basis on that day are content with the findings of this report."
