During Freshers Week 2007, the Queens University Young Greens signed up 134 interested students, more than any other political society, which proved how much young people care about environmental issues and climate change.
The QUB Greens hit the national headlines when in Febuary 2008 they presented Sammy Wilson, Environment Minister, with the Green Wash Award for being the least environmentally friendly MLA and for his support of nuclear power.
The Co-Chairs of the Young Greens in Northern Ireland are Adam McGibbon (South and East Belfast Greens) and Mark McCormick (Down District Greens). The NI Young Greens often cooperate and liase with the Young Greens in the Republic of Ireland –
