Green Party candidate for North Down

Steven Agnew

Steven Agnew was elected as MLA for North Down since 2011 and is the leader of the Green Party in Northern Ireland.

Steven said:

“I have always put people first as your MLA for North Down. I will continue to put people first as an MP at Westminster.

“The Green Party is contesting this election on the basis of;

  • Your say on the final Brexit deal;
  • Your public services;
  • Your equality.

“We must ensure that Northern Ireland MPs challenge Brexit and protect our public services from the worst effects of the Tory austerity agenda.

“I am proud to have made a difference for the people of North Down.  I played in a key role in saving Cairn Wood, campaigned with local schools to get fit for purpose buildings and joined with 3,000 others in defence of services at Bangor Hospital.

“I have achieved change for the people of Northern Ireland being the first MLA to campaign for marriage equality and acting as a champion for children and the environment.

“I will continue this good work through Westminster as your MP.

“Please vote Green on 08 June.”
