Green Party candidate for North Down
Steven Agnew was elected as MLA for North Down since 2011 and is the leader of the Green Party in North Down.
“This election has came about as a result of the financial waste and mismanagement of the traditional parties. However, I’m committed to the people of North Down and representing your interests in the best way possible” said Steven.
“I am proud to have made a difference for the people of North Down. I played in a key role in saving Cairn Wood, campaigned with local schools to get fit for purpose buildings and joined with 3,000 others in defence of services at Bangor Hospital.
“I have achieved change for the people of Northern Ireland being the first MLA to campaign for marriage equality and acting as a champion for children and the environment.
“My greatest achievement was the Children’s Services Co-operation Act. This legislation, just the fifth piece of law brought forward by an MLA and passed by the Assembly, requires government departments to work together.
“I am indebted to many parents and children’s organisations that have supported me in this.
“I ask for your vote on 2nd March so that I can continue to work on your behalf, on issues that matter to you.”
