Green Party candidate for North Antrim
Mark Bailey was born and educated in England moving to Northern Ireland in 2000 and has lived in County Antrim now for over 15 years.
Mark first entered politics in 1982 because he cared about social injustice, economic inequality and preventing environmental damage and was involved in the running of elections before he could vote himself. In this election, he is standing on a platform of campaigning for environmental and social issues.
He first stood for election in Northern Ireland as the Green Party candidate in East Antrim in the 2007 Northern Ireland Assembly elections.
He is an academic Economist by profession and a member of Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth.
