Green Party leaders on Brexit “least damaging” deal

Thursday 15 November 2018

The leaders of the Green Party in Northern and Southern Ireland have said that the EU/UK Brexit deal represents the least damaging arrangement for citizens across the island.

Steven Agnew MLA and Eamon Ryan TD met in Dublin today (Thursday 15 November) along with Senator Grace O’Sullivan, as the draft Brexit deal was published.

Steven Agnew MLA said: “This deal represents the least damaging deal possible in the aftermath of a hugely problematic Brexit referendum and a negotiation process beset by Tory infighting.”

Eamon Ryan TD added: “I am content that this deal protects the Good Friday Agreement as well as ensuring no hard border across our island or down the Irish Sea.”
