Anthony Flynn delves into Digital DNA

Monday 25 June 2018

Green Party rep. for Balmoral, Anthony Flynn rubbed shoulders with technology experts from across the world at Digital DNA in Belfast last week.

Anthony, who works as an application developer said the event brought some great minds together.

“Belfast is fast becoming a global hot spot for innovative technology. We have significant expertise in the areas of cyber security & digital services, and our growing interest in emerging cryptocurrency & blockchain technology sets us up for a future of leading innovation in these exciting areas.

“I want to see support for young entrepreneurs as well as small and medium sized enterprises in the technology industries.

“SME’s are the backbone of our local economy. Support for them needs to come from a joined-up approach by a working executive and local councils, including initial funding for start-ups, as well as colleges and universities, to ensure that we are giving young people the skills necessary for them to create and innovate, ultimately providing jobs for our local communities.”

“It’s certainly an exciting time for the industry, as Digital DNA displayed the energy and expertise of one of Belfast’s fastest growing sectors.

“I was delighted to be in attendance, to listen and learn from the people that can drive Belfast and its economy forward”.
